New RS232/RS485/RS422 & 5V TTL Interfaces for ZRT
RS232/RS422/RS485 and 5V TTL interface options have been added to the ZRT Series low cost radio modems. Support for MODBUS and Store & Forward repeater operation has also been added. These new versions complement the original RS232-only versions and offer even greater flexibility to the designers of industrial telemetry systems. Many of todays industrial telemetry and process control products use RS485 or RS422 serial interfaces to allow multi-drop configurations and the introduction of the new versions of the ZRT allows these units to be easily connected by radio without the need for external data conversion products. The new 5V TTL version is particularly suitable for direct integration into OEM products which already use these logic levels on the main board. All the versions of the ZRT are fully compatible with each other and it is possible to mix and match the different interfaces within a single system.

New ZRT Radio Modem
RF DataTech are pleased to announce the launch of the new low cost ZRT series of radio modems. The new ZRT replaces our popular QRT range and adds a number of new and improved features taken from our higher specification ART and SRT ranges. The ZRT Series has been designed as a flexible range of high specification, low cost radio modems for stand alone applications or for integration into OEM products. The design has been optimised for reliability and low current consumption, making the ZRT suitable for operation on remote sites without mains power. Applications include security, command & control, data logging, SCADA, telemetry, remote switching or any similar applications where serial data needs to be transmitted and a cable is not the most practical solution. Compared with the older QRT, the ZRT has an improved and updated internal modem capable of operation up to 9600bps, 80 user programmable channels where the QRT only had 9, more LED status indications and the addition of a packetisation mode for improved immunity to squelch tail effects.
